SAMANTHA L. MAREK, MD Cornea, Cataract, Refractive Surgery

Samantha L. Marek, MD is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cornea specialist. Originally from Cleveland, OH, she earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and pursued ophthalmology training at the University of Pennsylvania. She is excited to return to the region and provide care to the community where she trained.

Dr. Marek specializes in a wide range of corneal procedures, advanced cataract surgery, and refractive surgery. She completed the highest volume cornea transplant fellowship in the country under the guidance of the president of the Cornea Society. Additionally, she has had numerous papers published and is currently contributing chapters to the upcoming edition of the Cornea textbook.

Dr. Marek dedicates time to her patients, attentively listening and ensuring you fully understand your eye health. She recognizes that visits can be a source of nervousness and strives to comfort and alleviate any concerns you may have. Dr. Marek prioritizes addressing all patient questions, demonstrating kindness and empathy throughout your care.
